Here in East Dundee we froze the property tax levy for five years in a row. I want to go to Springfield to scale these successes.
-Allen Skillcorn

Local Roots

Allen Skilllicorn has deep roots in the Fox River Valley. His grandfather worked as a janitor at Crystal Lake South High School. Allen’s mother, April, was a special education teacher in School District 300 and later served pre-school children as director of the Crystal Lake Head Start program.

Lower Taxes

As a trustee for the Village of East Dundee, Allen worked to keep the property tax levy frozen since he was first elected in 2011. This work combined with local economic growth, has dramatically dropped village property taxes per home.

Skillicorn has also emphasized greater government accountability. He led the way in getting important records and financial information posted regularly on East Dundee’s village website.

Allen’s success in East Dundee has lead to endorsements from the Technology & Manufacturing Association and National Federation of Independent Business.
